GOVERNMENT STAMPING SERVICES

Weighing scale and balance used for trade or commercial activities are regulated under Weight and Measures Act 1972. The calibration of weights, measures, and measuring instruments must be performed by appointed verification officers.
Verification officers are appointed representatives to control and reverify weighing scale or commonly known as calibrate weighing scale. This process is commonly known as Government Stamping and needs to be inspected every 12 months or once every year.

Every weighing & measuring instruments are checked for accuracy and after receiving the prescribed Government fees, the weights & measures is stamped by the seal provided by the Inspector of Legal Metrology and verification certificate is issued accordingly.
